I’m always on the look-out for great design to feature on Studio Wisco, but lately I’ve been spending my time over at Madison Mamas. It’s my great new site that features hundreds of resources for local parents of young children. The Facebook page acts as a discussion board for questions and the homepage features anything from decor to products to local events. Check it out at MadisonMamas.com.

A recent discovery – this husband and wife team in Green Bay who create shabby chic cottage decor. At OldNewAgain, you’ll find a large selection of wood letters, wood words, wood shelves as well as home organization wall decor from key hooks to wall vases to blackboards. I’d like these for my kitchen…I just need a little more wall space.

I’ve been a little busy lately. A new baby and energetic toddler have kept me up at night and away from my keyboard. I still make time to check my favorite blogs though and Oh Happy Day just happens to be one of them. With a new look, Jordan is giving away a trip to Paris for two and I hope we win! How wonderful to spend some time traveling Europe and let the Grandparents change a few diapers while we’re away.

With such a LONG winter, I anticipate spending a lot of time outside this summer. I’ve been thinking about how to design our back yard and patio and saw these modern patio chairs on Design*Sponge. Designed by Todd Fillingham in Milwaukee, these modern patio chairs are made of solid walnut, northern white cedar and stainless steel. Each chair weights 10 pounds and both the wood and steel are rot and water resistant (though Wisconsin winters are a bit too rough on outdoor furniture to leave out year-round). I’m adding these to my wish list.

Not aware of any WI connection, but Pittsburgh’s Lisa Krowinski of the Sapling Press is one brilliant writer/designer. Here’s one of my favorites, but check out her etsy site to read all the cards.

Put typography on anything and I’m sold. This watering can keeps me thinking about spring – even though it’s a cold and rainy Tuesday.
