While browsing the How Design Blog, I came across this typographic t-shirt by Julia Sonmi Heglund from Madison. Looks like it’s no longer in print, but she has plenty of other rad designs to choose from. Check out sonmisonmi.com.

Project Runway is on tonight and there’s a designer, Anna Lynett, from our very own Whitefish Bay. Since it’s no longer on Bravo, I missed last week’s episode, but will be sure to tune in tonight at 9. Here’s her design on model Cerri from last week’s “create a look that embodies you as a designer” challenge. Let’s hope Anna wins.

I’m hosting Thanksgiving again this year and couldn’t be more thrilled. I have my menu in order and hope to spend this evening at the grocery store. But, before the in-laws arrive, I’d like to buy a new hostess apron like this one from Retro Mama. This Wisconsin seamstress also offers a great damask pink print, but the blue coordinates better with my kitchen. Order it for just $30 here.

No need to visit New York to update your designer wardrobe this Spring. The e-commerce phenom Shopbop is located in our very own back-yard. Carrying everything from Marc Jacobs and Juicy Couture to Nicole Miller and Sam Edelman, Bop’s State Street storefront is their only one in the country. Visit their store, in person or online, to choose one of these designer fashions for a summer wedding or cocktail party. With all these designers under one roof, why shop anywhere else?

Former Chocolatier and Baker, now blogger, mother of two (and #3 on the way), Meg “Elsie” fills her creative void sewing toys, clothes and accessories for the modern tot. One of her signature creations, kiddy messenger bags, can be purchased here, starting at just $30. Machine washable (few!), they’re perfect for your tot’s library books, matchbox cars or that stuffed animal that they can’t leave home without. Meg lives in Madison with her husband and children in a beautiful vintage/European-inspired home. Last year, thanks to Joanna Goddard of Cup of Jo, Meg’s home was featured on Cookie Magazine’s Nesting blog and her children’s room was seen on Apartment Therapy’s ohdeedoh.
