AIGA & AIA 20/20
March 31st, 2010Sesame Street Letterpress
March 31st, 2010Classic Sesame Street film – A LOST DOG poster for Ace
Do you remember this letterpress spot on Sesame Street circa 1970? I honestly do, but forgot how sweet it was until I saw it again on Beast Pieces. I haven’t seen anything as cool on that show since… except maybe Murray. Watch it here.
Design Guide Milwaukee
March 22nd, 2010Need some design inspiration in Milwaukee? Design*Sponge posted a city guide written by Sara of Cream City and Sugar. Some of my favorites are MAM, Alterra, Broadway Paper and Public Market, but they forgot Balistreri’s Pizza on 68th St! Check it out — and do you remember Madison’s city guide? I talked about it last April. Such great cities in our great state!
Green with Envy
March 17th, 2010A few St. Patty’s day inspired designs from some sconnie artists. I’ll take one of each, thanks.

Bloom Bake Shop
March 11th, 2010My sister and I stopped in a lovely new bake shop today called Bloom. It’s located in downtown Middleton and the owner Annemarie greeted us with a warm welcome. Their cupcakes are delicious, but we also loved their long list of organic ingredients and “sweet” store branding. Madison designer Gage Mitchell can take credit for their logo, along with their all-around environmentally-friendly design.
rrrrrr, Robots.
March 8th, 2010Spotted on DesignMom.com, these Robot Letters from Milwaukee designer Jimbot, are too cool. Get them in pink, green or blue.
Caribou Rebrand
March 3rd, 2010I stopped in one of Milwaukee’s Caribous the other day — mmmm, tasty. I didn’t notice their re-branding yet, but saw on Allan’s Peter’s blog that Colle+McVoy updated their look. Although I think Caribou should have a play corner like some Starbucks (us moms appreciate those things), I do love their coffee and the new look. What do you think?
