anthropologie

Anthropologie appreciates innovation, craftsmanship, artfulness and good design. This is one reason why they consistently win visual awards for their store windows and displays. This Sunday, their Hilldale location in Madison is offering a workshop hosted by the visual manager and design team. Learn how this group of creative thinkers come up with such unique ideas and implement them throughout their locations nationwide. Give them a ring if you’re interested in attending.

FYI, this workshop (at least the first part of it) mainly involved assembling decorations for the design team, for free! And by assembling, I don’t mean complicated, interesting origami-like creations. I mean poking a piece of plastic through holes in chicken wire times 1,000 or so.

I said, “OOPS! Personal emergency! Can’t stay.” and made a run for it. So maybe I missed the part where you learn about unique ideas and implement them. If so, never mind.

Sorry to hear that the event was a bust. The Anthropologie team made it sound worth while. Sounds like they should have advertised it differently…
