Pumpkins don’t always need to be carved. Keeping them whole and using a paint brush and your creative eye will ensure long-lasting halloween decor. Spotted on Twig & Thistle and inspired by Country Living and Better Homes and Gardens, these pumpkins will be the envy of every trick-or-treater in your neighborhood.

Goodstock
October 15th, 2009
Beginning at noon today, Madison agency Knupp & Watson will kick off their 5th annual Goodstock. A 24-hour, ’round the clock event in which the entire agency pulls an all-nighter to complete projects for local non-profit organizations. In this insanely short timeline, they will create more than 30 projects in web, print, radio and tv and donate millions of dollars in goods and services. Although it may be tiring, it’s 24 hours of love and advertising.
Tasty Labels
October 12th, 2009
While we’re on the topic of beer, let’s honor those local breweries that have great taste in their label design. Furthermore, New Glarus, Ale Asylum and Tyranena are all tasty Wisconsin brews with clever label designs (and copywriting). Order one up to support your local breweries and local designers. Will work for beer
October 8th, 2009What Sconnie doesn’t like a good beer? And better yet, a designer who likes beer. Randy Mosher is just that. Designer, author and world renowned brewing and beer expert, Randy will be joining AIGA to talk about his successful career that combines his passion for beer and his love for design. Read more about Randy’s design career and beer history here and mark your calendar for next Thursday, the 15th at the Lakefront Brewery (sounds like they’ll have beer there too).
